Women We Love: iVillage Canada features Kate Drummond

IMG_8705_edit_2“Not only does Kate Drummond have an impressive list of acting credits to her name, she’s a multifaceted woman in real life.

Before her acting career took off, she was a full-time elementary school teacher in Ottawa with bachelor’s degrees in kinesiology and education. She’s into competitive sports and has been a video game aficionado since childhood. Her passion met her craft in one of her latest and most well-known projects, a performance-capture role as the character Grim in the video game Splinter Cell: Blacklist. She will also appear in an upcoming episode of Beauty and the Beast.

When Drummond’s not on set, she enjoys doing yoga and spending time with her dog. But her moments away from acting also give her ample opportunity to participate in fundraisers and charity events. She recently partnered with the Gamers for Sandy Hook charity, the OSPCA’s National Cupcake Day fundraiser and even created and hosted her own non-profit, charity cooking series, A Jock’s Guide.

Drummond’s determination and goodwill (not to mention her inspirational leap from one career to another) earns her a place on our TV screens, in our hearts and in our Women We Love series. Here’s everything you’ll want to know about Kate Drummond.”
